Title Sequence
As well as designing, art-directing and producing over 250 effects shot for this one off special, Mick Connaire and Luke Wilmot (now of Shadow Industries) also designed the vehicle exterior and interiors, on screen displays, costumes and titles.
The programme required six weeks of meticulously planned green screen filming to generate the vehicle and character action shots. These would later be composited with several months worth of macro wildlife photography.
Due to the schedule, much of the macro was shot before the sequences were planned, and Mick worked closely with Luke, director Jnathan Rudd and producer Steve Gooder, to develop a script and storyboards to work this material into achievable sequences.
